Flooding Severely Damages Hwy. 169, North of St. Peter
I was at the Holiday in St. Peter today, and saw a 5 Eyewitness News truck from the Twin Cities. They were covering the Highway 169 closure. The road has been closed for about a week, following flooding in the area. It has been a big inconvenience for people trying to get to the Twin Cities. The road buckled up in one section, causing a huge mess for crews to clean up.
I talked with the reporter, Bob McNaney for a couple of minutes. Soon the camera man came over; and they interviewed me. They used some of the interview on television! See the story on the KSTP website. You can hear my voice at the start. They used more during the live television segment I saw at 4:30 p.m. I think the video on the web is from the 6:00 p.m. news.
High River closes Highway 169 and area bridges
The Minnesota River is really high in and around St. Peter, resulting in the closure of Highway 169 and some area bridges. See the story and photos I did for The Gustavian Weekly’s website.

Summer zoo view take too
I went to the Como Zoo and Conservatory again yesterday. This time I went with my Uncle Bob and brother. The temperature was perfect, and it wasn’t that busy. We had a great time.
Check out these photos from our excursion.
