Swim Charts: providing detailed information on meets
I provide charts showing a season’s meets along with the varsity scores, if possible. I will also put in links to my blog articles about each meet, links to my times, related news, and more! I am excited to announce that I have purchased Personal Swim Manager from Hy-Tek Sports Software. This will allow me to better display my times. News Articles
The Sun Newspaper (Edina edition) is a good resource for high school swimming news. Click here to check it out! I will post links to all of the swimming articles that I find online on my blog and/or on my swim chart. Click here to view my blog page with swimming articles. If you find an article that I don’t have linked in either location, from the Sun or any other news source, click here to send me a message.
Practice
I thought that people might be interested in what we do at swim practice.
We start out by lifting plastic milk cartons filed with water (this prevents rotator cuff injures) and do curl-ups. Next we listen to announcements and then it is time to get in the pool!
Typically we have practice Monday thru Friday after school, and also on Saturday morning. We also have many meets to fill up the season. Typically the meets fall late in the week. The season is only twelve to fourteen weeks long (December-February), and it goes fast!
